Last weekend I attempted my very first short film called "Last Chance" with Ruby Slate Balthazar. Up until then the most video work I'd done was 5 seconds bursts of focusing on things on my desk just to get used to handling the camera and seeing what the settings are. And just like my return to photography less than a year ago when I jumped straight in at the deep end I did the same again this time and went for a complete little storyline, all laid out and planned with around 44 scene shots. Originally I thought I'd aim for around 5 seconds per shot which would give around a three and a half minute film and to keep it a lot simpler there was no narrative.
